She is a specialist technology lawyer focusing on IT, general procurement, and privacy law. Chanel has extensive experience advising on IT and outsourcing projects, intellectual property and regulatory compliance, enabling her to assist clients to effectively navigate the evolving legal frameworks in various industries.

Chanel also supports a range of organisations in developing cyber preparedness strategies and assists with incident response to manage risk and minimise disruption.

Drafting contractual documents in respect of a client’s major business process outsourcing worth AUD $100 million.

Transport

Advising on the arrangements between head contractor and key subcontractor in respect of a major state government electronic ticketing system project.

Advising various government departments and government-owned corporations on several key IT projects, including the acquisition and implementation of new payroll solutions and a web content filtering managed services using the QITC framework.

Advising a client in respect of a major rolling stock procurement, focusing on the data, intellectual property and escrow arrangements in the design and build contract as well as the support contract.

Advising various clients, including a major online retailer, in respect of compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and Do Not Call Register Act 2006 (Cth).
