Nathan acts for both public and private sector clients on a variety of employment law, conduct, and probity matters, with extensive experience in workplace investigations and managing misconduct.

Conducting complex workplace investigations for large government agencies including investigating varied and complex disclosures made under the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2022.

Advising on the exercise of complex administrative decision making powers, including anticipating and mitigating potential litigation risks.
Advising private, not for profit, and public sector clients on issues ranging from recruitment to termination of employment, managing employee performance and discipline issues, and advising on the interpretation of modern awards and enterprise agreements.

Reviewing and preparing key conduct and probity strategies and documents, including codes of conduct, delegations manuals, data breach policies, and fraud and corruption control plans.
Provided detailed assessment and analysis of the interaction of two state government agencies’ statutory privacy obligations to ensure information could be shared between them appropriately and legally under the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 and the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002.

Advising government agencies on complex procurement activities, including probity requirements and compliance with obligations for proactive disclosure of government information.
