Assisting clients across a range of sectors, Ben brings his multi disciplinary expertise to the technology, financial services, industrials, resources and renewables, food and agribusiness, health and life sciences sectors. His clients include ASX listed and large unlisted public companies, small to large proprietary companies, and early-stage companies and startups.
Ben is also an integral member of the McR Private team, supporting our family office and private clients.
He advises clients across the capital raising lifecycle, from seed funding to IPO and secondary raisings, including placements, rights issues and share purchase plans. Leveraging his diverse expertise, he also works across regulated and unregulated mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and deal implementation, and corporate reconstructions via court approved schemes of arrangement. Advising on IPOs for companies such as Wagners, Chimeric Therapeutics and OtherLevels as well as secondary capital raisings for Wagners, Imugene and Prescient Therapeutics, among many others, his breadth of transactional experience spans a diverse range of sectors and listing requirements.
As Head of Startups at McCullough Robertson, Ben is an active supporter of the startup community, providing mentoring and legal support to several of Queensland’s incubators and accelerators.
With knowledge spanning across corporate and governance, he acts as an advisor on directors’ duties and liabilities to ensure his clients meet their regulatory obligations including with ASIC and ASX.
Originally from the UK, Ben is also admitted as a lawyer in England and Wales.

Advising Group 6 Metals (ASX: G6M) on various capital raising transactions, including placements, share purchase plans, debt funding and other equity fundraising up to $80 million.
