Lauri is a trusted finance lawyer with extensive experience advising lenders and borrowers across a broad range of financing transactions and projects. She specialises in corporate finance, real estate finance, asset and inventory finance, and social infrastructure funding, with a deep knowledge of the Personal Property Securities Act 2009.

In the finance space, Lauri advises on all stages of lending transactions, regularly acting for major banks, non-bank lenders, and corporate borrowers. She has particular experience in trade and inventory financing, having worked closely with and for inventory finance providers across Australia, offering tailored advice on finance documentation, security arrangements, and risk management.

Lauri is also a recognised adviser in the social infrastructure space, supporting community and affordable housing providers nationally.  With a deep understanding of delivering critical infrastructure, Lauri frequently prepares, negotiates and advises on complex arrangements critical to funding, security and ongoing management and services delivery for social infrastructure projects.

With a background in complex commercial and finance transactions, Lauri supports clients through all stages of financing and projects, blending her strong commercial acumen with specialist expertise in financing, security arrangements and the delivery of large-scale projects.

Coporate Finance 

Advising a leading global provider of mill relining systems on financing and security arrangements related to its manufacture and worldwide export of mining machinery.

Non-bank lenders

Advising a leading working capital financier to prepare and structure its ongoing documentation and security arrangements with its borrowers and assisting non-bank lenders generally with structuring and preparing tailored finance and security documentation for the financing of inventory, invoices and assets.

Asset Financing

Assisting a leading non-bank financier to acquire a $670 million car dealer finance portfolio from a major bank and working closely with client as seconded in-house counsel to manage the legal operations flowing from the acquisition and roll out.

Victorian Community Housing

Advising the successful consortium in relation to the Victorian Ground Lease Model 2 Project delivering 1,370 new social, affordable, market and specialist disability homes in South Yarra, Port Melbourne, Prahran and Hampton East.

South Australian Community Housing

Advising a community housing provider in relation to the funding and development of an indigenous elders’ village in South Australia, providing culturally inclusive features to enable indigenous elders to age in their own community.

National Community Housing

Advising various community housing providers to navigate funding and grants provided under QuickStarts, Queensland Housing Investment Fund, Housing Australia Future, Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility and ongoing servicing and management of community and affordable housing projects.
