She provides her clients with expert guidance in complex, high-value leasing transactions, representing both landowners and tenants.
With strong experience working across renewables leasing, she has advised both landowners and developers on lease negotiations for renewable energy projects. Her work in this area includes securing land access, option and leasing arrangements for solar farms, wind projects, BESS and other renewable energy developments, balancing the needs of developers with the protection of landowner interests.
She has acted for a diverse client base, including government-owned corporations, local governments, large institutional landlords and tenants (such as shopping centre owners, supermarkets, and anchor tenants), large listed property trusts, and retail tenant chains. Claire also has experience working with community housing providers, advising on matters that support affordable and social housing projects.
Acting for an Australian national consumer goods distribution company preparing and negotiating agreements for construction and lease, major tenant leases and subleases, sale and purchase agreements and other collateral documentation, such as supply agreements.
Working with several Queensland ports including drafting leases, subleases, concurrent leases, wet subleases, and obtaining the consent of the Minister under the Land Act 1994 (Qld) to dealings relating to crown leasehold land.
